Summer Is Kinda... Anticlimactic

Well, it is! All year, you're just sitting at your desk thinking- why can't summer be here? And when it comes, what happens? Absolutely nothing! Friends go on vacations, in high school you have over-the-summer assignments! I mean, summer is supposed to be the period when we don't do anything, but the educational system finds a loophole! We have three months to do the assignment, and if we don't, we'll probably just forget everything we had learned. So their reasoning is probably that reading a book and doing twenty whatever essays on every four pages of it would be for our own good! Well, guess what? It isn't! Got that high school? People are still going to wait 'til the last minute, and they're just going to be tired the first day of school because they had to write almost thirty essays about a stupid book!

*long, angry breaths* But, of course, why should I care? I'm going to read 'The Battle Of Jericho' pretty soon, and I'll have ample time to prepare for my break-in year of high school as a freshman. Because that's how responsible I am. Huha!
